Hilton Head Island

This trip started with a picture of a sign sent from my in-laws. Oyster Roast every Saturday at the Sea Pines Beach Club. Sea Pines being one of several "neighborhoods" of sorts on the island. I should add that my wondrerful in-laws have a townhouse in Sea Pines that we can use and free lodging is always an incentive to travel.

So my favorite oyster-loving friend and my long-time travel buddy and I went for a long weekend!

Oysters were fantastic! Locally farmed and served in clusters as oysters attach to each other in nature. Yes, that is a gator. This lagoon is the back yard of the townhouse. Kids and dogs are NOT allowed off the deck.

Worth the stop:

Sea Crest Surf and Raquet Club. I little hard to find and get to, but they use fresh fruit in all of their amazing drinks. It's by the beach and so delicious!

High end consignments at great prices.
